We will be selling pots by Kenichi Saito from 8pm on Friday, August 23rd.
Saito Kenichi has a studio in Akiruno, Tokyo. He is an artist who uses clay from his local Akiruno and Tama areas, making use of the texture of the clay and the possibilities that only clay can offer, to think about and explore what he considers to be cool.
The color changes depending on the reducing agent added when firing the pot.
For this pot, Mr. Saito wanted to highlight the pattern on the surface of the pot.
It is a slightly darker grey colour than the previous pot.

A distinctive feature of Saito's pots is that their color deepens when they contain water.
And Mr. Saito himself also grows plants.
He said that as a guideline for when to water it, the entire pot becomes lighter as it dries.

There are five different shapes available this time, so please enjoy the pot that best suits your plants.
