From 8pm on Tuesday 9th July, we will be selling Numano Hideaki's "black_wrap" and "Tokimuoto" pots.

Hideaki Numano has a pottery studio in the mountains of Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, where he grows his own agaves, cacti, and tuberous plants, and from that experience he makes slit pots that are designed to prevent circling. He makes pottery with the intention of creating flower pots that are considerate of plants.
Following on from our previous "Black on White" pot, we will now be releasing "black_wrap" and "Chikamuoto".
"black_wrap" is a piece that features a unique shinogi pattern, the shine of the glaze, and a jet-black matte texture.
The piece "Tokimu-oto" was named after the music that Numano likes to listen to while creating pottery.
The colors are placed to match the beat of the music, creating a piece that exudes dynamism.
The natural habitat of plants, including succulents, is called a "habitat" in English.
Habitat style is a style that aims to recreate in a pot as closely as possible the appearance, environment, and growing patterns of the plant in its natural habitat.
By choosing the right soil and stones and using the right planting techniques, you can realistically recreate a desert or savanna landscape in a pot and enjoy plants in a wild setting.
